Donation of Hope: Ellawewa School- Kahatagasdigiliya

Education is a powerful tool for change, yet for many children in rural communities, access to even the most basic school supplies can be a challenge. To address this need, we launched a project to support the students of Ellawewa School in Ranpathwila, Kahatagasdigiliya. Originally established in 1961 and reopened in 2009, Ellawewa School currently serves 48 children from Grades 1 to 5. Many of these students come from families facing financial hardship, where the cost of essential school items can place an added burden on already limited household resources. Recognizing this, our initiative focused on providing vital school supplies, ensuring that each child has the tools they need to fully participate in their education. From books and stationery to basic learning materials, this support helps create a more inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.
